The Christmas Spirit was so alive down at the Coffs Harbour Showground on Saturday 12th December. This free community event saw 7000 family and friends gather together from the community, celebrating the season and enjoying all the event had to offer.

LifeHouse Church was again honoured to host this year’s McDonald’s Coffs Coast Carols. Hours of rehearsals and planning paid off with the night going ahead with out any glitches.

As gates opened at 5pm people poured in, taking advantage of carnival rides & food stalls. Formalities began at 7pm with a Kid’s Christmas Show on the main stage. This included 50 children from local primary schools who together formed the ‘Combined Schools Choir’. There was plenty of singing, dancing, games, slime time, a special visit from Big Dog and a grand entrance via the trampoline from Santa!

The Traditional Carols program then followed with Christmas songs and Carols from local artists, LifeHouse Vocalists and the 50 strong LifeHouse choir. There were special performances from the Julie Ross Dancers, circus performers, FireFlies fire twirlers, Bello Bongo’s and Bellingen River Band. This was all concluded with a spectacular 15 minute Fireworks display seen in the beautiful clear night under the stars.
