What is mums.life?

Meeting the Needs of Mothers

THE YEARS OF RAISING YOUNG CHILDREN OFFER THAT ODD COMBINATION OF PURE FULFILMENT AND UTTER FRUSTRATION!

mums.life offers a caring, accepting atmosphere in which mums have an opportunity to develop friendships, share concerns, explore areas of creativity and benefit from teaching on a wide range of matters relevant to mothering.

The mums.life group is led by mothers of preschoolers for mothers of preschool children and meets for two hours each fortnight. The program consists of teaching, discussion, creative activity and refreshments with time for meaningful communication.

Children are lovingly cared for on the same premises, participating in planned activities suited to their skills and age group in the mums.life kids program. mums.life is held in the Cafe at the church entrance.

LifeHouse mums.life Vision/Mission Statement
To support the mental, emotional, social and spiritual needs of mothers with preschool aged children through building relationships, thereby encouraging and empowering them to be more effective in meeting the needs of their families.

We will do this by:

  • providing a welcoming environment via fortnightly meetings,
  • being readily available to and approachable by all mothers,
  • providing opportunities for personal and spiritual growth through teaching, discussion and friendship,
  • offering mothers time out from their children through the provision of the mums.life kids program.

The mums.life Program
Children from birth to school age take part in a preschool-like program with a spirtual emphasis while mothers attend the mums.life meetings. Twinkle Tots (children from birth to 2 years) are located in the Parents Room to the left of Reception, while Super Stars (children from 2 to 5 years) are in the Rainbow Kids Castle in the 2nd auditorium.
