Mandate Ministries: Honouring Ross Winchester

Updated: 2 days ago

In January 2025, with heavy hearts we said farewell to an absolute giant in the faith and field – Ross Winchester.

For the last 40 years, Ross served wholeheartedly and faithfully as a missionary, influencing and impacting the people of Thailand, North and SE Asia through both practical care and strengthening and training leaders to reach the next generation for Jesus.

Ross made an impact everywhere he went and always knew how to make people laugh. Even in his final weeks, he was sharing the gospel, working out ways to help the Karen people in Myanmar, and cracking jokes from his hospital bed. Ross remains one of the longest serving field workers in the ACC movement. He was greatly loved and is missed by many.

LifeHouse Church respects and acknowledges the traditional custodians of this land on which we gather, the Gumbaynggirr people, the Bundjalung people, and the Kamilaroi people. We pay our respect to Elders both past, present, and future, and we extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people that are here today.
