OUR WHY

Living Into God’s Story

The picture of human flourishing that God desires for us — created in the beginning and ultimately to be restored — is one of right relationships with God, self, others, and the rest of creation.

God is moved by the pain and suffering caused by brokenness in these relationships. So much so, He sent His Son on mission to reconcile people back into right relationship with God and to usher in His Kingdom of righteousness and justice.

We are called to live as His ambassadors, partnering with Him in a ministry of reconciliation. We are invited to participate in God’s story of restoration, praying and working for His Kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven.

Mission That Restores

The mission is holistic. The Good News of the Gospel is that restoration is possible — for the wounded, the isolated, the oppressed, and the oppressor.

Moved by compassion, we connect with people through intentional care. We also seek to meet needs beneath the surface, building genuine relationships and walking humbly alongside others, pointing to God who brings healing to the brokenness within all of us.

In doing so, we create opportunities for people to encounter God, experience transformation, and become agents of change themselves.

LifeHouse Care
Op Shops | Pantries | Hub | Community Care

Local | Project

LifeHouse Care is an expression of LifeHouse Church in the community, providing practical support and connection for people across our locations. Thousands of connections are made possible through our Op Shops, Pantries, and Community Care team.

LifeHouse Care exists to respond to hardship while also fostering genuine relationships. Op Shops provide affordable goods alongside opportunities for connection and skill-building, while Pantries offer low-cost groceries and fresh food in a supportive, non-judgemental environment.

When a deeper level of support is needed, Community Care provides relational assistance in partnership with local organisations, helping people in moments of crisis and aiming to walk with them, empowering them to create positive change in their life.

You can find us in Bellingen, Coffs, Grafton, Moree, Toormina, Urunga (Pantry only), and Woolgoolga. Community Care operates out of Coffs and Moree.

Chaplaincy

Local | Project

LifeHouse Chaplaincy equips and mobilises trained chaplains into everyday environments where care, presence, and hope are needed. Chaplains bring compassion and relational support into moments of crisis, transition, and vulnerability; environments where people may otherwise feel alone or overwhelmed.

Our chaplains are serving across settings such as schools, hospitals, aged care, emergency services, corrections, and community spaces. In every context, they offer a consistent, trusted presence — listening, supporting, and walking alongside people.

Playgroup

Local | Project

LifeHouse Playgroup, hosted at the PlayHouse, is a weekly gathering for parents, carers, and grandparents during the early years of family life. It provides a relaxed, welcoming environment where people can connect, build friendships, and find support in the everyday realities of raising children.

Playgroup focuses on connection being built through shared time and honest conversation. It creates space for relationships to form naturally, where people feel known, supported, and free to show up as they are.

For many families, it becomes a consistent weekly rhythm that helps reduce isolation and build a sense of community during a formative and often challenging season of life.

Sherwood Cliffs

Local | Partner

Sherwood Cliffs is a Christian residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre for those experiencing substance abuse and mental health issues. Established in 1978 and located north-west of Coffs, Sherwood has a long and rich history of seeing lives changed and futures reclaimed.

As a therapeutic community, the focus is on the whole person and lasting lifestyle change, with the community itself serving as the primary context for transformation.

Led by Chantal and Colin, Sherwood welcomes people from all walks of life into a safe place designed to help them grow, learn new ways of coping, and take responsibility for their recovery. Here, those struggling with addiction can refresh, refocus, and rebuild their lives.

Christian Surfers

Local | Partner

Christian Surfers exists so that every surfer in every surfing community has the opportunity to know and follow Jesus.

They are fostering discipleship and leadership through connecting regularly together; sharing time in the water and gathering around the word and worship.

Through presence in local surf communities, authentic relationships, and natural conversations about faith, Christian Surfers are reaching those new to ideas of faith.

Alpha

Local | Partner

Alpha is an open invitation for anyone to explore life, faith, and meaning in a welcoming and relaxed environment.

The Alpha course gathers people around a table where there is no pressure or expectation, just space to belong, ask questions, and explore faith at their own pace. Through hospitality and guided discussion, Alpha helps people take early steps toward understanding the Christian faith.

For many, it becomes a starting point for spiritual curiosity, renewed belief, or first-time exploration of Jesus. It is often around the table that conversations begin which continue well beyond the course.

Strengthening Families

LifeHouse Care Families

Local | Project

LifeHouse Care Families connects vulnerable families early and through matching them with a Family Friend, provides relational, one-to-one support for up to 12 months.

This approach offers consistent emotional, relational and practical support with the goal of improving resilience, wellbeing and community connections.

We also mobilise members of our church to provide one-off practical support for families on an on-call basis, whether it be meals, cleaning, trades and services or helping meet other practical needs.

By supporting families early we can help provide scaffolding during vulnerable stages and help families flourish.

Ability & Beyond

Local | Project

Ability & Beyond exists to ensure people living with disability — and their families — are fully welcomed and included in the life of the church. It is grounded in the belief that the Gospel is for everyone, and everyone belongs.

Ability & Beyond works to reduce barriers to participation by supporting accessible environments, strengthening inclusion in children’s and youth spaces, and providing pastoral and practical support for families and carers. It also helps shape pathways for meaningful involvement in church life for people living with disability.

Rather than treating inclusion as an addition, Ability & Beyond helps cultivate a culture where accessibility, participation, and belonging are part of everyday church life.

The Homeward Project

Local | Project

The local church is uniquely positioned to provide belonging for children, carers, and vulnerable families, and there is a role for everyone to play.

The Homeward Project is a response to the urgent need for safe, stable family environments for vulnerable children who cannot remain with their birth families. We don’t all have to do the same thing but we can all do something.

The Homeward Project provides supported pathways to foster, support, or give. Together we can ensure there are enough loving foster families for every child who needs one and provide greater support for carers who are opening their homes in this way.

Working with LifeHouse Care Families, we are both preventing and responding to family breakdown, with a vision of every child in a healthy family and every family within a healthy community.

Children in Families, Cambodia

Global | Partner

Children in Families (CIF) works to ensure vulnerable children in Cambodia grow up in safe, loving families rather than institutional care.

The goal is to strengthen families to prevent separation and to provide safe nurturing homes for children when that’s needed. Working alongside government and community partners, CIF focuses on family preservation and supporting foster and kinship care families. A significant part of their work supports families caring for children with disability, equipping them to provide safe, nurturing care.

At its core, CIF reflects a belief that children thrive best in families, and that with the right support, more families can stay together.

Mothers Heart Organization, Cambodia

Global | Partner

Mothers Heart Organisation exists to ensure no woman in Cambodia faces a crisis pregnancy alone. They provide medical assistance and counselling, as well as support for family restoration and building stability through education and employment pathways.

The focus extends beyond birth to longer-term wellbeing for both mother and child. Women are supported for up to two years.

Their work reflects a conviction that with the right type of support, the trajectory of whole families can be changed.

Schools Engagement
SRE | Love Out Loud

Local | Partners

Scripture in schools (or SRE) provides a consistent presence in many schools, with families choosing to opt in and volunteers supporting Scripture education across the region.

Love Out Loud equips teachers and volunteers with creative, age-appropriate curriculum and resources to share the story of Jesus in engaging ways.

This is a powerful way to connect with children and young people in our community, creating opportunities for them to encounter the message and love of Jesus

LHCA (LifeHouse Creative Arts)

Local | Project

LHCA provides a space for students to explore their creativity, build skills, and grow in confidence within a supportive and welcoming environment.

Offering a range of music and creative arts classes, LHCA serves students of all ages and backgrounds. The focus is not on performance as much as connection, and the learning journey of developing resilience, confidence, and self-expression over time.

In partnership with Ability & Beyond, LHCA also creates inclusive opportunities for young people with additional needs to participate in creative expression.

Youth Alive NSW

Local | Partner

Youth Alive NSW is committed to seeing young people all across our state encounter Jesus and respond to the Gospel. They gather thousands of young people for key events, fostering moments where faith becomes personal and accessible.

Alongside these gatherings, they invest in developing youth leaders, equipping them to disciple and support young people within their local church contexts. Youth Alive have a strong focus on regional engagement, ensuring young people outside major centres are included and connected.

At its core, Youth Alive reflects a shared commitment across churches to invest in the next generation together.

Deadly Diamonds

Local | Partner

Deadly Diamonds is a youth leadership and discipleship program in Moree, NSW, facilitated by the Salvation Army. It exists to equip young people — often from complex and challenging circumstances — to grow in confidence, character, and leadership through the love of Jesus.

Weekly connection points help create rhythms of stability, belonging, and ongoing personal development.

Deadly Diamonds are supported to step into leadership roles, such as helping lead Kids Club activities for younger children. This transition from receiving support to serving others builds confidence and purpose.

LifeHouse As You Go Traineeships

Local | Project

As You Go Traineeships are one expression of the heart of LifeHouse Church to raise and release the next generation.

Through practical ministry experience, mentorship, and structured training, young leaders have the opportunity to grow in character, calling, and capacity.

Trainees serve in LifeHouse Kids and Youth ministries, learning through hands-on experience as they take on real responsibility within church life. Their development is shaped through mentoring, reflection, and ongoing opportunities for growth.

Red Frogs

Local | Partner

Red Frogs is best known nationally for supporting young people during Schoolies week and the Coffs Coast team take teams of volunteers to serve young people in this season. They also show up for young people locally, week in and week out.

The team build relationship with university students living on campus, many of whom are navigating a difficult season of transition, financial pressure and the challenge of making new meaningful friendships.

Each week, volunteers host a meal, games and conversation, creating a rhythm of connection that builds trust over time. These simple, consistent moments become a steady point of belonging for students during a formative season of life.

YWAM Coffs Harbour

Local | Partner

YWAM Coffs is part of Youth With A Mission, a global movement that equips young adults to grow in faith, character, and purpose while exploring how they can serve others and live out their calling.

Through providing training and missional outreach opportunities, YWAM Coffs supports young adults to grow deeper in their faith and step into leadership.

A key expression of this is consistent presence in everyday community spaces, such as skate parks and local gathering points, where relationships are formed through simple acts of connection, hospitality, and care.

Building the Church Beyond Borders

New Life Fellowship, Cambodia

Global | Partner

New Life Fellowship Cambodia is a church committed to creating communities of overflowing love, where people encounter God’s presence and experience transformation through Jesus.

Beginning in Phnom Penh in 1994, New Life Fellowship has expanded across Cambodia as a network of local churches that continue to grow, multiply, and serve their communities. A key focus is strengthening healthy, sustainable church leadership through ongoing training and development.

Community-based learning environments such as Skills Training Centres provide education and pathways for young people, while also creating space to encounter Jesus and explore faith.

Across these contexts, lives are being transformed as people discover hope, belonging, and new direction through the Gospel.

ACC International

Global | Partner

A vision of a world where all people have the opportunity to experience the gospel is what drives ACC International. Their mission is to see holistic transformation in individuals, families and communities by empowering people to love well.

ACCI Missions and Relief are supporting field workers and project partners in almost 30 nations. Through supporting the day-to-day running of ACCI we are providing vital support for the growth of missions around the world, working to transform nations, one life at a time.

Open Doors

Open Doors’ local partners in Iraq are serving local believers and churches who are standing firm in their faith amid ongoing pressure, instability, and discrimination. In a context where Christians remain a small and often vulnerable minority, the Church continues to endure.

A key focus is strengthening connection and resilience, ensuring believers are not isolated as they remain rooted in Scripture and community. Bible resources and training further support ongoing spiritual formation. In this context, the Church continues to grow quietly but faithfully amid pressure and change.
