Celebrating Foster Care Sunday

This weekend, we celebrated Foster Care Sunday, and got to hear from some incredible foster parents as well as some foster brothers who are living examples of how God places the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6).

Check out their stories in the video here.

As you do, take a moment to consider —

“Could I be part of the ‘village’, the community that supports a foster family?” We don’t all have to do the SAME thing, but we can all do SOMEthing.

  • Learn.

  • Pray.

  • Advocate.

  • Give.

  • Support.

  • Volunteer.

Become a carer. There are a MILLION ways that we can each play our part in making sure that, as the Church, we are looking after some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

LifeHouse Church respects and acknowledges the traditional custodians of this land on which we gather, the Gumbaynggirr people, the Bundjalung people, and the Kamilaroi people. We pay our respect to Elders both past, present, and future, and we extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people that are here today.
