Chaplaincy

Updated: 1 day ago

Praise God – the call to chaplaincy is being heard and answered – with chaplaincy interest, training sessions and opportunities exploding in 2024/25!

Currently, we have both fully qualified and trainee chaplains in the following areas from Grafton to Macksville to Moree and more:

Primary and High Schools

Police

Prisons

Ambulance

Disaster / Emergency Relief

and new for 2025:

Retail Centres

Courthouses

Attendance levels at training days demonstrate just how much demand there is – not only from people who benefit from talking with a chaplain, but also for ‘everyday people’ who are increasingly encountering friends, family, and strangers in situations of overwhelm, and simply want to be better equipped to help in a healthy and effective way. Training opportunities have included:

October 2024

120 people attend a 1 day Everyday Chaplaincy Skills

February 2025

89 people attend 1 ½ days Next Steps Chaplaincy

March 2025

13 people attend a 1 day Court House Training

June, August & November

3 x 3 day Cert IV Course with Alphacrucis

Over and over again, we hear about the positive impact when someone has an opportunity to simply share their burdens, and feel seen, heard and valued. This is essentially what chaplaincy is about. At LifeHouse, we are so blessed to have a passionate and experienced Chaplaincy Team who equip, support and advocate for our chaplains so that no one is left to do this vital work alone!

Pray

For those joining the ranks of chaplains in every sector of society.

For open doors and open hearts that lead to healing conversations.

For more School Chaplains to rise up and fill the gaps in our public schools.

LifeHouse Church respects and acknowledges the traditional custodians of this land on which we gather, the Gumbaynggirr people, the Bundjalung people, and the Kamilaroi people. We pay our respect to Elders both past, present, and future, and we extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people that are here today.
