The Daniel Fast

FAIR7.jpg

The "Daniel Fast" is a form of fasting comes from the Old Testament story where Daniel committed to only eating fruit, vegetables and nuts for three weeks, instead of the food the foreign king was offering (Daniel 10:2-3). Fasting this way enables us to effectively function in our responsibilities while still causing us to experience the pain of physical hunger that triggers a spiritual response.

For those who have medical conditions that come with dietary requirements, pregnant or breastfeeding mothers, you are in no way excluded from participating. Seek advice from your doctor in relation to a food related fast or consider removing something else from your life that triggers a form of “hunger” that you redirect towards God's presence.
